Semillon - 2005 Armidale

Showing some maturation in colour – this wine has attractive golden bright yellow colours – whilst not being too dark. On the palate, the colder climate has lent rock melon and ripe lemons with firm nectarines adding to the whole sensation. The finish of the wine is flinty, minerally and slightly reminiscent of passionfruit pith. A slight greenness adds to the character of this wine – limes finish the long palate with fresh acidity. The nose displays richer characters – melon, fresh figs and barnyard hay. Drink now, or cellar 3-5 years from now to continue to achieve those desirable developed characters.
